Author Guidelines

Submission of Paper to The Journal:
Anyone who submits a paper for publication must provide the following:

  1. A submission cover letter

  2. An MS Word copy of the anonymised manuscript

  3. Separated Title page including all author information

  4. Written permission from authors whose copyright material has been used in the manuscript.

  5. Informed consent from participants whose photographs have been used.

  6. A Payment receipt for the manuscript processing fee ( International authors USD 120 and Kenyan authors KES 10,000)

  7. A signed Ownership Declaration Form following the example in the link provided. 

  8. A signed Senior Scientist Declaration Form signed by the most senior author (the individual with the highest level of scientific and research experience among the listed authors).

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in Microsoft Word format.
  • In-text citation is Vancouver, and where available, DOIs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is 1.5 lines spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
